Cuisinart Resort & Spa,
Anguilla The Health and Wellness Program is a
professionally planned schedule of activites for a better understanding of a healthy
lifestyle. Nutrition Nutrition in the form of healthy,
low-calorie meals is the first component of the program. But how many times have
we heard "healthy, low-calorie" and cringed! Not so here, where an abundant
daily supply of the freshest produce possible - anywhere in the world - lends
a helping hand to make meals tasty, colorful, filled with natural vitamins, and
most important, anticipated! Find the tools to balance diet, exercise
and relaxation - and to create a new you - at Cuisinart
Resort and Spa's Wellness Program! Make lifestyle changes but maintain tranquility
in a comfortable, individualized program. Our on-site hydroponic farm cultivates
tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuces, herbs and many more culinary staples in a liquid
nutrient solution chock full of vitamins. The colorful, nutritious, daily harvest
is in the kitchens morning, noon and night for optimal use in Wellness Program
meals. Biting into a hydroponically grown tomato is one of the best sensory experiences
in the world - and hydroponic lettuce plucked fresh from the farm makes "bland"
passe. Executive Chef Denis
Jaricot and his team create dishes using the freshest vegetables and herbs
from the hydroponic farm's wide selection daily and serve them immediately. Guests
are overwhelmingly positive about the quality of food here. Health care
counselors assist with information and encouragement when meal planning - including
special consultant, world-renowned chef Paul Bocuse - whether the goal is losing
weight, losing fat or just learning to eat properly! The program is developed
in partnership with the Culinary Nutrition Program of the College of Culinary
Arts, Johnson & Wales University. Exercise and relaxation, the other
valuable components of this program, are available at the CuisinArt Resort &
Spa. Customize your exercise with yoga classes or a personal training program,
tailored to your individual needs. Then relax at the Spa - luxuriating in a variety
of facials, massage and hydrotherapy treatments.

Taking Control the CuisinArt Way is a 10-day interactive Retreat conducted
monthly on Anguilla at one of the Caribbean's most beautiful beachfront resorts,
CuisinArt Resort & Spa. The Retreat combines nutrition, exercise, body pampering,
therapeutic and medical guidance to position clients to release stress and to
take control of their own total well-being. Fundamental to this program
is the medically verified belief that stress is one of the biggest enemies to
actually achieving well-being. That's why the program's physical location - on
one of the Caribbean's most beautiful beaches - and the serene, Mediterranean-inspired
resort that's virtually alive with nature - play such a key role in accomplishing
relief from stress. It's said that music hath charms to sooth the savage
beast. Here at CuisinArt Resort & Spa we believe that the beauty of our setting
works like music. After a few days here, guests will begin to feel their stress
loads lighten. Learning how to control stress and using diet and exercise as stress
relief tools provide lifelong benefits when participants return home.
Retreats are limited to small groups. Ideal candidates are those in the midst
of busy careers without time to research how to maximize their well-being and
enhance longevity and quality of life in later years. Each Retreat shows candidates
how to discover the ideal conditions leading to the realization and preservation
of an optimum state of physical and mental well-being. While at the resort clients
walk the walk toward looking and feeling their best. The process jumpstarts them
into an exercise, relaxation, nutritional and weight loss regime that emphasizes
enjoyment and pleasure over a puritanical approach demonstrated in similarly stateside
clinics. Demonstrable results may include weight loss, stress reduction
and body tone and flexibility. This program is conducted under the guidance and
direction of medical and health professionals. The CuisinArt Resort & Spa
partners with Health-e-tech TM to provide the most dynamic, up-to-date wellness
management tools and software.
